Stiege

The air, from above one of the stairs in the Nudel, has been taken away and and put diagonal in a different space on a life-size scale. Plasterboards were used to make the borders of the space to contain the air, the same material which is used to renovate rooms in old buildings. There are two openings in the construction from which you can look inside, but it’s impossible to look from the one side to the other, so you have to look in from both sides. From one side you look down and from the other you look up the stairs. The whole construction which holds the air weighs over 400 kg and is balancing on one leg.

Size: Approximately 500 by 300 by 200 centimeter.
Material: Wood, plasterboard, joint filler, latex paint.
